About BURSTS
BURSTS transforms EVERY child’s physical literacy and progress in Physical Education by bridging the gap between school and home.
BURSTS is a new Physical Education App, which will help schools to inspire families. It has been named BURSTS since it encourages short, regular and meaningful BURSTS of physical activity throughout the day.
We want all children to be able to enjoy regular BURSTS of physical activity alongside free play, trips to the park and bike/scooter rides.
Why BURSTS?
Children’s activity levels outside of school have greatly reduced, which means they are not developing the physical literacy that must be a right for EVERY child. This impacts on their enjoyment, confidence, progress, health and wellbeing.
Creating a culture of physical activity has to be a school and home team effort, yet we know how challenging it is to engage with and support families. Then, when we do, how do we know and evidence if it is having any impact?

Every child's BURSTS’ experience is personalised and each family has its own dashboard outlining their child's active learning minutes, progress and rewards:

Gamified and interactive experience
BURSTS is gamified and families get to experience augmented reality (AR) - an interactive experience of a real-world environment where the objects that reside in the real world are enhanced by computer-generated perceptual information, e.g. Jasmine as their guide! It is also accessible on smart phones.
